Pourquoi les mesures génériques ne suffisent pas

De nombreux guides vous diront qu'il suffit de connaître la largeur, la profondeur et la hauteur du canapé pour commander une housse sur mesure. Malheureusement, cela ne s'applique qu'aux housses extensibles standard qui recouvrent votre canapé. Le problème ? Le résultat est peu esthétique.

« Plus votre canapé est courbé, plus vous aurez besoin de mesures » — C'est mon conseil de prédilection lorsque les gens posent des questions sur les mesures du canapé.

Pour un look vraiment sur mesure, des mesures plus précises sont nécessaires. Même si cela peut paraître compliqué, nous allons vous expliquer étape par étape comment y parvenir.

Comprendre votre canapé

Tout d'abord, identifiez le type de canapé dont vous disposez. Ces trois éléments déterminent les mesures supplémentaires nécessaires :

Cadre du siège

Certains cadres de siège s'étendent vers l'avant au-delà de la profondeur des accoudoirs, créant ainsi souvent des coussins en forme de L.

Forme du bras

Nous classons les bras en bras arrondis, carrés ou cunéiformes. Les bras carrés sont les plus simples à mesurer.

Type de dos

Les modèles standards comprennent les modèles à dossier haut, arrondi ou droit (style smoking). Les modèles à dossier droit sont les plus faciles à utiliser.

Conseils de pro avant de commencer

• Demandez à un ami de vous aider pour des mesures plus longues
• Mesurez au 0,5 cm ou ¼ de pouce le plus proche
• Gardez le ruban à mesurer tendu mais pas étiré
• Pour un aspect plus rembourré, appuyez le ruban contre le canapé

Custom slipcovers are made according to your furniture design and measurements. All you need is a measuring tape and about 30 minutes of your time to measure according to our guide. Each custom sofa slipcover is made to fit sofas, loveseats, chairs, or anything in between.

This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 40,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion. All our cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

For items weighs less than 12oz, we ship via USPS first class mail.

For domestic parcles, we ship via USPS priority 5-7 business day arrival.

For international orders, we ship via DHL or USPS Priority International.
