My Bed Looked Nothing Like It Did in the Store
Has anyone else ever bought furniture that looked perfect in the showroom...
...and completely different once it was in your bedroom?
Because that's exactly what happened to me.
I picked this bed thinking it was a beautiful warm ivory. Under the store lights, it looked soft, cozy, and exactly what I wanted.
Then it arrived.
Somehow it looked more gray than cream, and no matter how I decorated the room, it just never felt right.
We'd already been using it for two years, and with a little one at home, buying a new bed wasn't really an option.
So I tried something different.
I ordered a custom headboard cover.
Honestly, I wish I'd done it sooner.
I chose a linen fabric because I love that relaxed, natural texture, and it completely changed the look of the room. Everything feels lighter, softer, and so much more like home.
It's funny how one small change can make you fall in love with a room all over again.
And one little tip...
If you're shopping for furniture in a showroom, don't trust the spotlights.
Ask to see the piece in natural light if you can.
It might save you from making the same mistake I did.
