This summer has been so hot. We've had days close to 100°F, and honestly, just looking at heavy furniture made me feel warm.

So getting my new custom slipcover this week couldn't have come at a better time.

I chose a 100% natural linen fabric, and I'm really happy with it. It feels soft, breathable, and stays cool even when you're lounging on the sofa for a while. It just has that light, airy feeling that's perfect for summer.

One thing I wasn't expecting was how practical it would be. With a little one running around every day, spills are pretty much guaranteed. The one-piece design makes it super easy to take off, wash, and put back on, which has already saved me more than once.

And can we talk about the color?

I went with violet, even though it felt like a bit of a bold choice at first. Now I absolutely love it. It's cheerful without being too bright, and it instantly made the whole living room feel fresher and more inviting.

It's funny how changing just one thing can completely change the mood of a space.

This might be my favorite home upgrade of the summer.
